SUFFERING BASTARD
The Suffering Bastard is one of my favorite names for a drink, inspired by hungover patrons at a Cairo hotel during World War II. Somehow it doesn’t sound very Tiki but it’s one of the classic Tiki drinks and interesting in that it doesn’t have any rums.
Recipe
1 oz Gin
1 oz Brandy
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/4 oz demerara syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
4 oz ginger beer
Pour ginger beer into collins glass filled with ice. Combine other ingredients in shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain to top up glass and enjoy!
