SLOVITO COCKTAIL
The Slovito Cocktail was inspired by a homemade blood orange “schnapps” that my wife would bring home from travels to Slovenia. The homemade blood orange schnapps is hard to come by stateside, so we had to adjust the recipe once that ran out! This is a twist on a Mojito, keeping the rum and mint, but adding some orange and peach along with the mysterious element of the sliva. Very refreshing for summer sunsets!
Recipe
1 1/2oz Light rum
1/2 oz Orange liqueur (Morey preferred)
1/2 oz Sliva
1/4 oz Peach liqueur
3/4 oz Lime juice
5 Mint leaves
Muddle mint leaves in cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients. Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled, 15 seconds. Strain into rocks glass over large ice cube.
