There are a few drinks that my wife prefers not to partake of and this is one of them.  She nicknames this one “Dr. Pepper”.  Not sure I agree as I like the complexity of the super dark Blackstrap rum with the Campari in this drink, which I find very enjoyable. 

Recipe

1 1/2 oz Blackstrap Rum

3/4 oz Campari

1/2 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 oz simple syrup

1 1/2 oz pineapple juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.  Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.  Strain into rocks glass over large cube.
